Dr. Beug has been a senior member of the Dittberner staff since 1974, where he focuses on technology, R&D and network planning aspects of projects. Previously he worked with UNICOM Systems as chief engineer, as well as Boelkow GmbH and Agfa Camera.

His area of expertise includes: advanced product planning and design; equipment and service evaluation; public network planning and related economic assessments; long-range technology forecasting, hardware and software development cost estimation. Lorenz Beug maintains close contacts with many of the world's leading service providers and telecommunications equipment manufacturers, has been a key contributor to many of Dittberner's multi-client and proprietary studies. In particular, he has been responsible during the last 17 years for major segments of THE Dittberner PERSPECTIVE reports, which addresses advanced telecommunications technology and service demand issues.

Lorenz Beug holds a Ph.D. in physics and a M.S. in physics from the University of Heidelberg, and a B.S. in physics from the University of Hamburg, Germany.
