Donald Dittberner is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Founder of DAI. He was Chief Executive Officer of DAI from 1966-2003. He has been involved in several hundred consulting projects to both world-class operators and their telecom suppliers over the past 30 years. He has visited with national telecommunication operators in over 110 countries of the world and has met with the telecommunication ministers of some 42 countries. Additionally, he has personally interviewed top telecom management of over 400 of the Fortune 500 Companies. This personal relationship with many world telecom leaders gives him unique insight and in-depth understanding of network technology trends. Mr. Dittberner is a Life Member of IEEE.

Mr. Dittberner has a strong technical and analytical background, with a Masters Degree in Physics from the University of Heidelberg, Germany and a B.S. Degree in Physics from Washington State University. Additionally, he has taken graduate studies in Mathematics at UCLA, John Hopkins and has completed the IBM Executive Management School.

Mr. Dittberner began his career at IBM in technical marketing of large-scale computer systems. He gained the position of Director of Market Planning for the IBM Federal Systems Development. He then joined the Diebold Group, an EDP consulting group, as head of the Washington Office and of the Diebold research program.

Lilian Tau brings a unique set of skills to the leadership position of Dittberner Associates, Inc. He joined the company as Consulting Director in May 1997, being promoted to Executive Vice President in 2001 and now CEO. Mr. Tau plays an integral part in restructuring DAI in order to create a global presence, increase customer focus, and position DAI as the market research and consulting authority in telecommunications markets.

Mr. Tau is the lead author and major contributor to DAI's research reports and is an active participant in the major Telecommunications conferences. Mr. Tau holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Master Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. Mr. Tau is fluent in English, Romanian and Russian.

Alain Thiney has been involved in the telecommunications sector for more than 18 years, and in international business for more than 25 years. He has been associated with Dittberner Associates since 1994.

He has been a leading participant in a wide variety of successful business development and new ventures in the United States, Asia and Europe. With Corning, Inc., he held positions ranging from European Marketing Manager to Director of Technology and Business Development for Corning’s worldwide Electronics and Telecommunications business.

With Alcatel NA., Dr. Thiney was Director of Corporate Development. In this capacity, he was a leading figure in the top management team that planned and implemented the $500 million merger of Alcatel and ITT Telecom in the USA. He worked with SRI International and Logica in London on many international telecom assignments in Europe and Australia. As a Vice President and COO with International Technology Consultants in the United States, he directed a number of projects regarding telecom investments in developing countries and long-range technology assessments.

Dr. Thiney has lectured with European and Chinese universities on international business development and on global telecommunications at international conferences. His academic background includes a Ph.D. in electronics and a M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Grenoble in France, as well as postgraduate studies in Finance and marketing with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
